Have you ever closely examined a currency note? The TV show ‘Farzi’ revolves around money. The main character, played by Shahid Kapoor, is an artist who copies famous artworks and sells them to customers.
His maternal grandfather, also an artist, owns a newspaper printing press called Kranti Patrika. Shahid Kapoor and his friend assist his grandfather in running the press. Unfortunately, the grandfather has accumulated a significant amount of debt while keeping Kranti Patrika running. One day, a lender arrives and issues an ultimatum to pay off the loan.
This is where the main story begins. Overall, the storytelling in ‘Farzi’ is awesome, and the screenplay is enjoyable. The performances of all the actors, especially Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupati, and Kay Kay Menon, are outstanding. The show takes us on a journey of how Shahid Kapoor’s character starts and achieves tremendous success. Audiences never feel bored while watching this show.
Shahid Kapoor chooses shortcut ways to earn money in order to pay off the loan on time. He requests the help of his friend and the staff of the printing press, who are professionals in operating printing machines. Shahid Kapoor designs counterfeit money, creating “sandwiched” notes due to their lack of materials and infrastructure to produce complete currency. We witness how they manage the papers and print them using a single-color offset printer. They put in a lot of hard work to achieve success.
We can see their process of testing the counterfeit currency in the market to ensure its authenticity. Once they pass the test, they begin the supply, and the real thrill of the show starts from there
